Designing typefaces, doing typographic work, and providing assistance to fellow type designers & foundries like DecoType (see this note), DTL, Exljbris, Giovanni de Faccio & Lui Karner, Tiro Typeworks, TypoNine, Typotheque, Underware, URW++, publishers like Brill, Carlsen Verlag, Forlaget Carlsen, Steidl, and the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.

Studied communication design at University of Essen until 2002, with a focus on type design which was taught by Volker Küster. Worked at Steidl for a year in 2004–2005. Established KLTF in 2005, and joined Village the same year. Taught writing at University of Essen in 2006–2007.

postscript
Litteratra was part of the postscript exhibition at the Vienna Künstlerhaus in 2002. The exhibition presented a diversity of typefaces all of which were created between 1995 and 2003, in the PostScript era.

TDC2 2001
Litteratra was a winner of TCD2 2001. It was Carol Twombly's judge's choice.

In Visible Language, 32.2, Rhode Island, 1998, pp 128–149.
Then aimed at books printed on demand, this article describes a document format which combines the typographic finesse PDF allows and the flexibility of layout as known today from HTML with CSS. See abstract. Issue is still available.
