System & application requirements
Minimum system requirement for our PostScript-flavored OpenType fonts are Mac OSX or Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000.
Please note that not all operating systems or applications recognize OpenType features and kerning, or support them equally well. Many Windows applications, even in 7/Vista/XP, do not support OpenType features, cannot access Central European characters, or may not even recognize kerning.

Install
Mac OSX
Copy .otf font files into the
Library / Fonts folder and they will be available to every user of the computer.
To make fonts available to yourself only, or if you do not have administrator rights to add fonts to the
Library / Fonts folder, you may copy .otf font files into your own font folder at
Users / [Your User Name] / Library / Fonts.
Windows Vista/XP/2000
Open the
Fonts folder by clicking through
Start / Control Panel / Appearance and Personalization / Fonts in Windows 7 or Windows Vista, through
Start / Control Panel / Fonts in Windows XP, and through
Start / Settings / Control Panel / Fonts in Windows 2000.
Copy .otf fonts into this folder.
Install updates
Before installing a font update (a more recent version of fonts already installed on your computer), you should do the following steps, on both Mac OS and Windows:
1. Search the system partition of your harddisk for 'AdobeFnt'. In Windows activate the options for searching hidden files and searching the system folder!
2. Delete all files named like 'AdobeFntXX.lst' where XX is a number. 'AdobeFnt10.lst' is such a file.
3. Just in case ... restart.
Now you can savely install update font files as described above.
When updating fonts, it may be necessary to delete the operating system's font caches too. Helpful tools are
FontNuke,
Tiger Cache Cleaner (require Mac OSX 10.4) or
FontFinagler (also older Mac OSX versions).
